How Much Should a Copier Lease Cost in 2026? UK Price Benchmarks

Realistic UK benchmarks for copier lease rates and click charges in 2026, so you can tell a fair quote from an inflated one.

Copier lease prices vary widely, and that variation is exactly what makes a fair quote hard to spot. These are the 2026 UK benchmarks we use when sanity-checking a deal.

Monthly lease by machine type

  • A4 desktop multifunction: roughly £20 to £45 per month.
  • A3 colour multifunction (mid-volume): roughly £45 to £120 per month.
  • High-volume production-class A3: £150 per month and up.

Click charges per A4 page

Click charges are where deals are won and lost. Sensible 2026 ranges are mono £0.003 to £0.007 and colour £0.040 to £0.060 per page. A3 pages sometimes carry a small premium, but it should be explained, not assumed.

What pushes a price up fairly

Faster print speeds, finishing options such as stapling and booklet-making, large paper trays, and shorter contract terms all raise the monthly figure for legitimate reasons. The trick is making sure you are paying for capability you will actually use.

Red flags

A very low headline lease paired with high click rates is the classic margin shuffle. So is a minimum monthly volume set above what you really print. Always ask for a five-year total at your real volumes, not just a monthly number.

Use the calculator to estimate your own all-in monthly cost, then compare it against any quote on your desk.
